Sweetwater Baptist Church is indeed a mission minded church, and we are blessed to have a pastor with a heart for missions.

Throughout the year we are honored to have guest speakers from Romania and other prominent countries. Our heart is always open to receive these missionaries in our midst.

Offerings for missions are received year-round with donations given to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, Janie Chapman State Missions, or the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Simply designating an offering by indicating “Missions” on the gift will go to one of these state, national or world missions.

There are several mission groups for all ages that meet on a regular basis. The Neely Group meets the second Wednesday of every month for service projects and fellowship.  View our bulletin and newsletter for more information and details.

Operation Christmas Child

Every year we collect shoebox size Christmas gifts to give to boys and girls in need all over the world.  Our WMU Director Laurie Kinsey heads this up.  Donations are given and time is set aside to sort and pack the shoeboxes.  They are then taken to the Samaritan's Purse headquarters and shipped out for Christmas presents for children with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
